The same campaign runs here in Belgium (and Holland) too. Everyone’s mighty impressed with how they managed to get Ahnold.

    2. They may be cheap but they are very decent, have had one for 4 years and no issues for the daily task

    3. Parkside aren’t that bad for their intended target. DIY Dads. Pro tradesmen that use their tools everyday aren’t going around promoting Parkside.

    4. My favorite random celebrity use is Bruce Willis in eastern Europe. I don’t know if it’s still ongoing but at one point an energy drink called “Hell” had the one single picture of his face and put it everywhere.

Always the same headshot picture. Like Schwarzenegger here has multiple poses, holds several tools, recorded lines for TV (Parkside is the Lidl store brand and this campaign runs in several countries).

But the Bruce Willis add was just the face posted everywhere from walls to cinema to supermarkets like he was the national dictator, on red background saying either HELL or Bruce Willis.
Seemed like a hell themed dystopian regime under Bruce Willis.

    5. I get the idea behind saying it is “cheap” but parkside is generally decent quality, yeah nothing special, but there are a whole host of stuff that is a lot lot worse then parkside.

    6. Lidl is pretty well known outside of Germany too. So yeah makes sense since he probably makes a lotta money. Lidl and the Schwarz group are global.

A fair comparison for the non European it’s Ryobi. It’s like that but a bit better (at least the black series)

Parkside tools are actually really good for their price. I have that exact drill and an impact wrench thingy for taking off car wheels. Honestly, awesome for the price.

    9. Isn’t Parkside just the Lidl in-house powertool brand? It is in the UK at least. They may be cheap but they’ve got a plenty good reputation & probably shift more than units than a bunch of ‘bigger’ brands put together (enough to hire Arnie apparently).

Parkside does fantastic stuff, you see a lot of tradesmen in Ireland with their gear and even power tools sometimes

    11. Excuse me? It’s freaking Parkside mate. Now edit your title before I bring thousands of parkside fans out of their man cave in r/parkside
